Big things sometimes come in small packages. Olympic Peninsula Skagit Tactic’s Commando Heads are short powerful Skagit heads optimized for two handed rods in the 10 – 12 foot range. They excel when casting in close quarters and handle heavy sink tips and flies with ease. While designed with shorter two handed rods in mind, Commando Heads work extremely with both longer spey rods and shorter single handers. Because of their compact size, pairing a Commando Head with a rod isn’t quite the same as with regular Skagit heads. The follwing lines are recommended to got with the following rod sizes:
