Beulah’s 13 foot 2 inch 7 weight Platinum spey rod is light enough for summer steelheading with a Scandi head, and stout enough to cast Skagit lines, sink tips, and big bugs for winter steelhead. We have gotten a ton of mileage out of this rod guiding year ’round in Oregon and remains a go to. It has earned a permanent place among our quiver of spey rods.
The Beulah Platinum Spey Rod series offers a traditional flex pattern that loads deep into the butt section, with a fast tip recovery to ensure accurate tracking. Extremely light in hand, our Platinum Series Spey rods are constructed on new mandrels and are made with a lower (28%) resin count Carbon scrim process that brings the overall blank weight down. Additionally, we use a high pressure rolling technique that produces better overall blank consistency. The Beulah Platinum Spey rods are classically appointed with four color thread wraps, custom anodized reel seats, and hand selected Portuguese cork burls.
